Short answer
Some area rugs can be cleaned in the home, but many clean more thoroughly when they are taken out, cleaned and dried under controlled conditions, then returned. That is especially true for wool, delicate and pet-soaked rugs. Tetris Cleaning Services offers rug pickup and delivery, so you do not have to haul the rug anywhere.
Which rugs can be cleaned in your home?
Most machine-made synthetic rugs, like nylon, polyester and olefin, handle in-home cleaning well. They are colorfast, tough and dry quickly. Many rugs in newer Leander and Cedar Park homes fall into this group, especially rugs laid over tile or LVP downstairs.
A quick check of the label on the back usually tells you the fiber.
Which rugs need more care?
Wool, silk, viscose (sometimes sold as art silk or bamboo silk), hand-knotted and antique rugs need a gentler approach. Some dyes can bleed, some fibers shrink or brown if they get too wet, and fringe can yellow. Rugs with heavy pet urine are another special case, because the urine soaks through to the backing and the floor underneath, so cleaning only the top of the rug may not remove the smell.
How does rug pickup and delivery work with Tetris?
We pick the rug up from your home, clean it, let it dry fully, and bring it back. Taking the rug out lets us reach the backing on pet-stained rugs and dry delicate fibers properly. Pet stains and odors get a specialized enzyme treatment.
Ask about timing when you book.
How do you get a rug cleaning estimate?
Estimates are free, you can book online, and the price you are quoted is the price you pay. Use the See Pricing and Book Here button, or call (512) 825-4005, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
