Rug Cleaning
Expert rug cleaning with the specialized care your area rugs deserve.
Area rugs vary enormously in fiber and construction, and wool, silk and cotton each need different handling. We assess the rug before cleaning and use a method appropriate to the material rather than a single approach for everything.

Should area rugs be cleaned differently from wall-to-wall carpet?
Yes. Rugs are made from a far wider range of fibers and dyes, including wool, silk, viscose and cotton, and some of them bleed color or shrink with the wrong method. Checking the fiber and testing the dyes first decides how the rug is cleaned.
How often should an area rug be cleaned?
Every one to two years for a rug in normal use, and more often in an entryway or a home with pets. Regular vacuuming on both sides between cleanings keeps grit from wearing down the fibers.
Which towns do we offer rug cleaning in?
All eleven towns we cover.
Fiber assessed before any cleaning

Questions
Rug Cleaning questions
Can you get pet urine out of an area rug?
Often, yes, but it depends on the fiber and how long the urine has been there. Older urine can leave permanent color change even after the odor is treated.
Can a rug be cleaned in my home?
Many synthetic and durable rugs can. Delicate or valuable rugs are better cleaned with more control over drying, which is discussed at the estimate.
Will cleaning make the colors run?
Dye testing before cleaning is how that is avoided. If a rug's dyes are unstable, the method is changed rather than risking the rug.
